deconstructions

Deconstructions is a series of seven pieces composed between 2005 and 2008. Mainly written within the genre of instrumental music (with or without electronics), their discursive principle is based in the deconstruction of a certain musical object or structure: a cluster, a trill, a military roll, the totality of a musical phrase, a cyclical structure or an ending; these elements are exposed in each piece to different deconstructive processes, on a small or bigger scale, enabling the emergence of an additional sense from it, which confrontates with the one already carried by the original materials.
