ALTER FACE ENSEMBLE. LLUÏSA ESPIGOLÉ and DANIEL BUENDÍA, PIANOS.

The present installation is the first piece of a series that tries to build a confrontation between a musical piece and its contemporary relecture. The latter appears in form of a ruin of isolated fragments in which the ancient piece seems to resonate.
The installation develops itself through a concept already explored in other installations of the author: persistence (passive resistance) as a catalysator of change, taking interactivity in its inverse way: instead of detecting movement in order to provoke change, the installation detects the still and continuous presence of the spectator; when he/she places him/herself in the installation, his/her persistence will gradually trace the process from the fragments of the contemporary relecture towards the fugacity and anachrony of the past.
