(neo)liberal systems is a series of pieces in which their material content remains free for the performers, only subjected to a system that organizes and prescribes the structure and organization of these freely performed materials.
(neo)liberal systems #6 “tutti-solo-tutti” targets the topic of isolation in our society. Rather than a physical isolation, this is understood as a deliberate elimination of social and collective dialogue towards a society of individuals centered on themselves and the demands they receive for entertainment and self-indulgence. The overall form of the piece traces a process of gradual atomization of a collective whole towards a totality of self focused performers.
This process is also reflected in the visual projection, with a video that starts as a whole and is being fragmented into several groups that correspond to the performers’ groupings; at the end, there are as many videos as performers, each of them with specific attributes (ways of playing) for each performer. This serves also as a visual score for the performers, who should see the projection or a duplication of it. The projected videos and their attributes are different each time the piece is performed.
